I’m a trained actor with over 30 years experienece in theatre, film and voiceover, based in Lewisham, south east London.
I’m half Greek and half Welsh. My dad gave my mum a lift when she was hitchhiking around Greece Shirley Valentine style – and I was born in Athens a few years later. We moved to the UK when I was small and I grew up around the West Midlands and Shropshire.
After a terrifying but brief career in the Greek restaurant business, I moved to London to go to drama school.
Since graduating from Rose Bruford College, I’ve worked in BBC Radio, regional rep, Shakespeare, new writing, physical comedy, devised work and as a street performer on the festival scene. I founded and ran award winning Penny Dreadful Theatre creating physical comedies based on forgotten true histories, and I was artist-in-residence at Creekside Centre, making outdoor shows along the Thames’s only tidal Creek. More recently I have been expanding my voiceover CV to include video games and audiobooks.
My natural speaking voice is RP/light midlands, but having parents who sound very different from each other, and moving between countries a lot helped me develop a good ear.
I have narrated over 70 audiobooks in a wide range of genres – and loved every one! Romantic fiction (humour & strong female friendships) detective series, thrillers, historical novels, sci-fi, YA, childrens books and factual/educational works. You can listen to me on Audible, Storytel or LoveReading or check out samples and reviews here.
I can do a wide range of UK and international accents but the following are native – I’ve either lived there or they’re in the family
The accents listed below I have used regularly, for a book series or a character, so they feel like slipping into a well worn cardy – looks like you’ve had it forever.
But I’m always up for learning new ones. Recently I had to do a French Canadian man who fell in love with a Northern Irish woman – in a French village! And I’m currently working on my ‘north London Greek’ – because you never know when you might need one!
Clients include Vodaphone, Nestle, NIDO KINDER, Pukka Films, Frisbee Films, Food Standards Authority
Voices include police officer (US accent) in Perplex City (Mind Candy), Medusa in Game of Sultans (2023), ADR and additional voices in Baldurs Gate 3 (2024). BAFTA for Online Caroline Interactive web series
